We’ve reviewed this particular snorkel gear set before in a post waaay back in January of 2017. We weren’t crazy about SealBuddy gear when we first started but it soon grew on us and it became one of our favorite sets to use when snorkeling (and spending the day) at Makaha Beach on Oahu.
As a matter of fact, I think I called SealBuddy a practically unheard of brand at the time…and to us, it was. Lizzy and I soon learned that we should definitely be open to new and a little less known brands for snorkeling gear as they’re often top notch. (The only thing we don’t condone is using knock-off full face snorkel masks…but otherwise they’re safe. You can read a lot about those here and the best of them here.)
SealBuddy does something a little more special with their Fiji snorkel set here, though. Not only are you getting the premium set but you’re also getting a great snorkel vest by SealBuddy. Boom! You can’t go wrong. Let’s take a little bit of a closer look.
Premium Snorkel Set with Bag and Snorkel Vest by SealBuddy:
Panoramic Snorkel Mask:
We really like the open, full/single pane mask. It offers great visibility, is made of durable (tempered) glass lens, and hypoallergenic silicone skirt. Really comfortable to wear and seals great. The buckles are the easily adjusted, pinch and pull to tighten or loosen, making it easy to fiddle with in the water.
Ultra-Bendable Snorkel with Dry Top:
You can submerse the entire tube underwater and it will keep the water out. The tube seals one way with a ball valve and it also has a cover that has small openings to keep surface/splash water from getting in while the tube is out of the water. The mouthpiece is hypoallergenic as well and very comfortable so that your jaw and mouth don’t get tired and achy.
Snorkel Fins, Travel Size
These are open heels fins with a quick adjust strap that come with plastic inserts to hold the form of the foot pocket when not being worn. If you’ve had snorkel fins without these before then you know how easy it is for the foot pocket on these things to warp and then become difficult to put on and off, even uncomfortable to wear. Also, whether you’re packing them for a day hike to your favorite snorkel location or packing them on a plane then these are really convenient travel fins.
Deluxe Travel Bag
You can fit your complete Fiji snorkel set in this bag. It has meshed material for easy drip and drip (lets the air get at the gear!) and the shoulder strap is padded for comfort. Plus, you can store extras like a wallet, cell phone, water bottles and snacks in the zipped pouch (19” x 9”). The entire bag is made of high-quality material that will last season after season.
Full 1 year warranty on each piece in the set and you have Class A customer support from SealBuddy for the lifetime of the snorkel set.
At the time of this review, the SealBuddy Fiji Snorkel set has nearly 500 customer reviews on Amazon with over 90% of those reviews being 4 and 5 star ratings. We definitely love this set and the bag and vest make all that much more great!
What some people are saying about this snorkel set:
