Throughout out our time here at The Snorkel Store, we’ve been large advocates of marine conservation, ocean safety, and particularly caring and respecting the marine life that we encounter in our snorkeling adventures.
Lizzy and I wanted to find a way that we could promote this to our readers and also give back to those who have a passion for the ocean, marine biology, and marine conservation. So, we’ve decided to start an annual scholarship.
The amount of scholarship is $500 dollars. The winner will be chosen on 15 July with the actual Scholarship Award being sent to the winner on 15 August. You can read the details and requirements on our scholarship page.
The most exciting thing about the application process for us is the essays that will be submitted. We look forward to reading all of them and then choosing the Top 3 for publication on The Snorkel Store blog. My hope is that this scholarship offer will be picked up by some of the bigger scholarship directory sites and more people will have the opportunity to apply.
