SVP Aqua 5800 Review 18MP Dual Screen Waterproof Digital Camera for Snorkeling

Last Updated on July 1, 2023 by Snorkel Ken

The SVP Aqua is a cool little camera.  While it’s not the highest quality underwater camera that you can get it is, perhaps, the most fun.  This is due mainly to the dual screen feature that the camera has.  If you’re looking at the 2.7″ LCD display screen and framing that perfect vacation picture, then the people and fish that you’re taking the picture of can actually see how they look on the 1.8″ color display on the front. You can get them used or new on Amazon and there are color options of black, blue, orange and pink.

Features of the SVP Aqua Dual Screen Underwater Camera:

  • Dual color screens; 2.7″ LCD display in the back and a 1.8″ TFT color display in the front
  • Over 500 customer reviews!
  • 18 Megapixels with 4x digital zoom
  • Waterproof digital camera with video ; waterproof up to 10 feet in depth
  • Compatible with MicroSD card ONLY and is required ; supports up to 32GB external memory card
  • Compatible with Win XP / Vista / Win 7 and Mac OS x 10.6.8 or above

        • Angela,

I’ve only had my hands on camera once and for a very short time. I thought it was a very nice camera with good video and pretty decent audio. It’s not top of the line audio or video BUT it is very adequate for some recreational snorkeling footage. Do you snorkel often?

  1. Will you be doing articles about how to film while snorkeling, like with a JVC Quad Proof Everio GZ-RX615BEU
memory camcorder? Or such like? Any help would be great.
